Although the government delayed the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate earlier this summer, companies nationwide – particularly small businesses – continue to prepare for all of the changes that health reform will bring to their organizations’ benefit strategies. ConnectedHealth President Joe Donlan was recently interviewed by Monster.com to provide guidance to small business owners amidst the uncertainty. The article entitled, “The Health Care Act: How Can Small Business Plan Ahead,” outlines the steps these companies can take now to ensure they are ready for the changes.
“The first thing businesses need to do is consider how providing health care benefits will promote the company’s goals and vision — apart from the requirements of the Act,” says Joe Donlan, President of ConnectedHealth.
“Most employers want to lower costs, engage employees, improve productivity and remain competitive. The right benefits strategy can do all of those things.”
