CHICAGO, IL – December 2, 2014 – ConnectedHealth, the provider of the industry-leading benefits marketplace and personalized shopping platform for employers, health plans and consumers, today announced that Capital Resorts, a vacation ownership resort in Branson, Missouri, chose its Smart Choices™ Marketplace for hundreds of its employees. Using “defined contribution” funds from Capital Resorts, the company’s full-time employees can shop for coverage on the ConnectedHealth platform from a variety of medical plans, along with dental, vision and life insurance options. Since launching the platform, Capital Resorts has more than doubled its ancillary enrollment rate compared to the previous year.
Capital Resorts’ non group-eligible employees also have access to a range of personalized benefit options through ConnectedHealth’s shopping platform. Now, these non-group-eligible and part-time workers can buy individual coverage from a variety of regional and national carriers. These employees can also determine if they qualify for a tax credit, which they can then apply toward the cost of any qualified health plans available to them.
“As we continue to expand our business, it has become clear to us that one-size does not fit all when it comes to employee benefits,” said Tammy Rigg, Director of Human Resources at Capital Resorts. “Our employees – who work in a variety of job functions, from accounting and sales to front desk reception – have different health and financial goals. By partnering with ConnectedHealth, we can now offer our team a high-quality choice in coverage based on personalized recommendations, while making the entire benefits shopping process simple and quick, taking only minutes from start to finish.”
“We’re happy to welcome Capital Resorts as our latest employer partner,” said Joe Donlan, President of ConnectedHealth. “Capital Resorts leveraged our Marketplace platform to attract and retain talent, control its healthcare spend and improve employee satisfaction with its benefits program. Early results are already very encouraging and we look forward to a long and successful partnership as Capital Resorts continues to expand its business nationwide.”
