As the benefits market continues to change, what’s becoming clear is the critical role that brokers play, according to a new article from Employee Benefits Advisor. Featured in that article is ConnectedHealth President Joe Donlan, who says brokers must go beyond the consultant approach and help their clients with the technology as well.
“Brokers, who have a history of providing great service and finding ways to reduce costs, can’t be an expert on everything. That’s why they need to find like-minded technology partners — not vendors,” Donlan says. “A technology partner and broker should have the same goals, such as easing the administrative burden and creating great capabilities that enable employees to shop for benefits.”
